Scriptwriting

We need to find out what you want your members to hear about while on-hold. Getting what you want talked about every month, without taking much of your time, proved to be our big challenge.

Most on-hold companies offer two solutions to this challenge: You write the scripts, or they write the scripts.

1. You Write the Scripts

Labor intensive on your part. You’ve got to continually come up with fresh text month in, month out. And unless you’re a natural born writer, this proves to be frustrating and time consuming.

2. The On Hold Company Writes the Scripts

Surprisingly, still labor intensive on your part. They’ll chase you down to get the facts and figures of the topics you want mentioned on hold. Then, they’ll chase you down to approve or amend the scripts in progress. Then they’ll chase you down to sign off on the finished scripts…. Every month.

3. The SOUND ADVICE Script Sampler Comes to the Rescue

In the late 80’s we started getting unbelievable scripts from a credit union marketing director in Colorado. The messages were light, had the right touch of humor, were timely and very effective.

Spotting real talent immediately, we engaged this brilliant woman to start writing scripts for us. She wasn’t just a clever scriptwriter, she was a clever scriptwriter who knew credit unions. She knew what credit unions want to talk about in January, February, and so on. We began compiling these and sending them out as a monthly mailer to our clients…. The SOUND ADVICE Script Sampler was born.

This Is How it Works

Every month clients receive our latest Script Sampler containing 15 to 20 messages covering the variety of credit union products and services typically marketed in the upcoming month. All that needs to be done by you is select which messages you want, insert your specifics in the blanks provided (CU name, interest rates, etc.), and fax or email it back to us. It’s that simple.

By the way, 90% of our clients rely on the Script Sampler for their monthly scripts. Many will also add a message or two of their own, and some will ask us for help on a message or two. The bottom line is you can update your on-hold script in as little as 5 minutes.
