Hardware

Our on-hold productions can run on your hardware or hardware provided by us. There are two options:

Digital Players

The new wave in onhold messaging is the onhold player being built into the phone system. Thereby requiring a digital file from us to load into the phone system, and we can provide that type of file. Most of our clients use digital players because they are virtually indestructible (That’s important because the messages and music play all day long). Here’s how it works: You download the new productions onto the digital player’s microchip by the mp3 file we send you. Although we no longer provide digital players that download from audio cassette tape, we can still provide productions on tape. Once the production is downloaded the messages and music play off of that chip. We can supply you with a digital unit, or your phone vendor can probably supply you with one. (If we supply one, we guarantee it for as long as you do business with us.)

CD Players

You can play the production CD’s we send you using CD players available at most electronics stores. We don’t recommend using CD players because they use moving parts that will eventually breakdown. Digital players, whether ours, yours, or one provided by your phone vendor, use no moving parts and last indefinitely making them more economical in the long run.

A Word on Installation

It’s very important you have the company that services your phone system hook up any music on hold equipment. Why? Because you probably have warranties and service contracts that could be voided if equipment is installed by someone else. Please check with your phone vendor. Of course we can check with them for you if you like, just give us a call.
